Family Guy moves to Xbox Live on September

Family Guy - Image 1The sneak peek apparently wasn't enough, 'cause 20th Century Fox has reportedly now gone all the way for "Family Guy" to be on Microsoft's Xbox Live. Yup, the other dysfunctional all-American family will be moving in on the green machine as downloadable content come September 2 - only a couple of days away from now.

The executives over at Fox have proclaimed that "[i]t's about as perfect a demographic fit as we can get." And we totally get that point. After all, the fans of the cartoon, which revolves on the satirical and unconventional everyday lives of the Griffin family, have a strong fanbase of 18-34 years old. That would be the same as the demographic of the gaming industry. So really, it's just a matter of simple math: 1 1 = 2. Cartoon gamers = cartoon on game console.

So, what's included in this oh-so-sweet deal? Apart from the first two seasons available for purchase, there's also the straight-to-DVD film "Family Guy Presents Stewie Griffin: The Untold Story", which will cost you 160 Microsoft Points (about US 2). But if you would prefer the DVD copy, then "Family Guy Season Five" will be available on September 18, to coincide with the debut of the show's new episodes.
